Job Description
We are a Portuguese-owned international Space group, based in Portugal, present in Germany, Spain, UK and Romania. Currently working in propulsion systems and components for satellites and launchers, we are looking to fill a position for an engineer with focus on the areas of Electronics and Instrumentation. This call is aimed at Junior to intermediate positions. Senior applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
- Participate in the design and development of electronic measurement, actuation and control subsystems for experimental vehicles, test facilities and ground support equipment.
- Participate in integration and test campaigns.
- Contribute to technical and product assurance documentation for developed subsystems.
- Provide specialist technical contributions to high-level design and requirements definition processes.
Mandatory requirements (all of the following):
- Sc. degree in Electrical and electronics, computer, aerospace or physics engineering, or other relevant area of study.
- Solid knowledge of the basics of programming, instrumentation and control, including signal analysis (i.e. filtering, post-processing, etc.).
- Fluent use of English language, spoken and written.
Preferential (any combination of the following):
- Academic or professional experience with any of the following:
- laboratory instrumentation.
- hardware assembly and testing.
- digital communication and/or telemetry.
- radio-frequency communication (coding/decoding messages).
- programming of controllers (PLCs and/or micro-controllers).
- rocket, aircraft or automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Knowledge and experience in software development (C++, Python, embedded real-time systems).
- Solid knowledge and experience in LabVIEW and/or Matlab/Simulink.
- Independent in your work and able to organize your tasks.
- Problem-solving oriented attitude.
