Instrumentation and Control Junior Engineer

Job Description
We are a Portuguese-owned international Space group, based in Portugal, present in Germany, Spain, UK and Romania. Currently working in propulsion systems and components for satellites and launchers, we are looking to fill a position for a Junior Engineer with a focus on the areas of Physics and Instrumentation.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
- Participate in the assembly, integration and testing of electric thrusters operating in high vacuum setups.
- Participate in the design and development of electronic measurement, actuation and control subsystems, test facilities and ground support equipment.
- Establish technical and product assurance documentation for developed subsystems.
- Support procurement activities.
Mandatory requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, or another relevant area of study.
- Comfortable with the principles of instrumentation, data acquisition and control, vacuum technology and electromagnetism.
- Knowledge of programming and software development (C, Python).
- Academic or professional experience in electronic hardware assembly and laboratory equipment (instruments, vacuum, fluids).
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Preferential:
- Academic or professional experience with CAD programs (SolidWorks)
- Academic or professional experience in programming microcontrollers.
- Academic or professional experience in LabVIEW.
- Ability to work independently and organize tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills and enjoyment of working in a small team.
- Problem-solving oriented attitude.
