Space Propulsion Junior Engineer

Job Description
We are a Portuguese-owned international Space group, based in Portugal, present in Germany, Spain, UK and Romania. Currently working in propulsion systems and components for satellites and launchers, we are looking to fill a position for a Junior Engineer with focus on Space Propulsion.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
- Support our projects from proposal to delivery, through technical and management skills.
- Participate in design and development of new components.
- Establish technical and product assurance documentation for our components.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance documentation for our products.
- Establish and manage test campaigns and integrations.
- Select and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
Mandatory requirements:
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Material engineering, Physics or similar areas of study.
- Familiar with the principles of mechanics, electric and pressure applications.
- Familiarity with satellite technology, in particular propulsion systems or components.
- Familiarity with CAD software (2D/3D).
- Fluent use of English language, spoken and written (other languages are a plus)
- MS Office proficiency.
Preferential:
- Knowledge/work experience with FEA programs will be seen as an advantage.
- Independent in your work and able to organize your tasks.
- Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for space technology.
- Proactivity & resilience.
- Professional experience in the space propulsion business is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge/work experience with FEA programs will be seen as an advantage.
- Communicative and enjoy working in a small team.
- Self-confident and good communication and negotiation skills with customers and suppliers.
- Problem solving oriented.
- Knowledge of German language will be seen as an advantage.
- Possibility to work, for small periods of time, abroad. Availability to travel for 3-4 days, on a 2-3 weeks’ notice time is expected.
